NEW YEAR MESSAGE BY PRESIDENT OF THE NIGERIAN BAR ASSOCIATION

NEW YEAR MESSAGE BY PRESIDENT OF THE NIGERIAN BAR ASSOCIATION, AUGUSTINE ALEGEH (SAN)

I wish all members of the Nigerian Bar Association and all Nigerians a Happy, Prosperous and Successful New Year 2015.

We appreciate all the successes we recorded as an Association in 2014 and must strive to build upon our modest achievements of 2014.

We must also prepare ourselves for the challenges that would confront us in 2015 with a firm belief that we shall overcome all the challenges and achieve remarkable success in 2015.

We must all prepare ourselves for the 2015 General Elections. We must endeavour to make a positive impact in the 2015 General Elections.

We owe our Nation a duty to contribute positively to voter education and Mobilisation for the 2015 General Elections and ensuring a successful General Election.

We must individually and collectively shun any action that may negatively affect the 2015 General Elections.

Our development and advancement as a Nation are dependent on the leaders that we elect as well as the entire electoral process.

We expect that our security agencies would effectively confront the Boko Haram Religious sect and other criminal groups with renewed zeal in 2015.

It is our fervent prayer that the security and welfare of all Nigerians would receive prime attention from the Government as Nigerians cannot continue to live with fear and insecurity.

We pray that 2015 would be a year of success, progress, advancement and prosperity for us all.

Happy New Year 2015

Dated 1st January, 2015

AUGUSTINE O. ALEGEH, SAN FCIArb [UK] PRESIDENT NIGERIAN BAR ASSOCIATION
