Banker Docked For Abusing Maid

A banker, Nkechinyere Nwajagu wanted in connection with unlawfully imprisoning a young girl, Precious Nwafor has been charged to court today after surrendering herself last night to the Nigeria Police.

The laydy who hails from Ajali in Orumba Local Government Area of Anambra State is to face the wrath of the law for allegedly locking her ward inside her residence at No. 12 Baderin Street, Mafoluku Oshodi, Lagos.

The suspect allegedly locks up the girl whenever she goes to work from morning to night claiming that she had no choice than to do so after her elder sister left her in her care before travelling for Christmas vacation.

The victim of this latest alleged human right abuse was rescued by police officers on the instruction of Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Edgal Imohimi to forcefully rescue Precious from the home of Nwajagu on Thursday.

This suspect turned herself up at the Makinde Police Station Oshodi from where she was taken to the Human Rights Section of Lagos State Command Ikeja and subsequent court appearance.

Her appearance in court today reflects the policy directive of the CP to intimate the general public on progress made in any case of public interest.
