Badoo Cultists: Police Finger Woman, Hubby in Lagos Serial Killings …We Wear Victims Clothes to Evade Arrest,

A woman has been accused by the police in Lagos of working with her husband to find victims for serial killers known as Badoo cultists in the state.

According to the Lagos State commissioner of police (CP) Imohimi Edgal, the woman identified as Gift Ameze and her husband, Samuel Ameze aka Samito, were acting as pointers providing information about prospective victims to the Badoo gang that killed scores of victims in Lagos, often wiping out entire households.

The couple were among five suspects paraded on Thursday over the killing of a Redeemed Christian Church of God pastor, Victor Kanayo among other victims in the Ikorodu area of Lagos.

Edgal said, “Recall that during my last press briefing on November 11 2017, I did mention that the Nokia Asha blue phone belonging to the murdered Pastor Victor Kanayo of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Ikorodu, who was killed on November 25th 2017, was recovered from Uche Igwe and he confessed that his younger brother Chibuzor Igwe gave him this phone. The said Chibuzor Igwe was the one arrested at Alajo Close where he and his gang members murdered Shakiru Yekini and inflicted grevious bodily harm on his wife and 6-month-old baby.”

Adding that the suspects had confessed to other killings, Edgal said, “During interrogation, Chibuzor Igwe opened up to chains of killings they have carried out within Ikorodu and that his boss, one Obamoyegun Omotayo, and a welder – Samuel Amuze alais Samito, went for the killing at Alajo Close in Ibeshe Ipakodo on December 30th, 2017 during which Shakiru Yekini unfortunately died.

“During the interrogation session, Chibuzor Igwe further confessed that the gang leader, Obamoyegun Omotayo, usually takes them to a shrine at Imodi Masan via Ijebu Ode in Ogun State, where an oath would be taken before the commencement of any operation. The herbalist would then fortify them with charms for protection and against arrest by security operatives.

“The native doctor also blesses the grinding stone with which they smash the people’s skulls. The native doctor, Adebayo Fatia aka Adaripo, was arrested at Imosan Village ”
The police did not, however, allow reporters to speak with the suspects.
Interviews were only conducted by officers.

Edgal identified other suspects at the parade as Chibuzor Igwe,18; a herbalist known as Adebayo Fatia and one Obamoyegun Omotayo.

Igwe, who was identified as the prime suspect, told policemen: “I am a Badoo cultist. I went to Oga Noah to help me with a driver’s job, but he introduced me to Badoo.

“I usually go to the victims’ houses with oil rubbed on my body so that I can escape easily. The herbalist pour blood on my body to fortify me and after killing the victims I wear their clothes to prevent me from being caught.”

Edgal, however, stopped Igwe from making further comments.
He said, “Don’t interview them. We have gotten to the critical stage of the investigation, where they will be naming thier sponsors and we do not want them to jeopardise the investigation. I have vowed that anyone involved in this henious crime will be brought to justice.”
