We Will Not take Issues With Religious Leaders – PDP

The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday said it would not respond to comments from religious leaders over political issues, saying the party would not be dragged into engaging religious leaders.

The national publicity secretary of the PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh while reacting to a comment by Bakare on the fears of the 2015 general election and the state of nation said “we will not respond to any comment made by any man of God either a pastor or Imam on political issues, in respect to the office they occupy. We will keep away from
reacting to political issues they say from the pulpit.

“PDP as a political party will not dabble into that. But if Tunde Bakare makes a politician outside his pulpit makes a comment we will react accordingly. If he is talking from a pulpit we will not respond.”
