Gunmen kidnap Bayelsa NPC candidate
A Bayelsa State House of Assembly aspirant on the platform of the National Conscience Party (NPC), Hon. Lucky Ogbazi, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen from his Azikoro village residence in Yenagoa.
According to his wife, Grace, the four gunmen, who came in two Hilux trucks broke into their home at about midnight yesterday under the guise that they were taking him in for questioning.
His family declared him missing after concerted efforts to ascertain his whereabouts failed.
Before his disappearance, the Ofoni community born politician is contesting for a seat to the represent Sagbama constituency 1 in the state House of Assembly in the forthcoming general elections.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer of the state command, Asinim Butswat said he was not aware of the incident.
